The state of Texas and the Venus ISD understand the need for digital content at school and at home. The state has provided two outstanding digital suites-Texquest for schools and Texshare for public libraries. Since the Venus HS/Community Library serves the community as well as the high school, it has access to both Texquest and Texshare. For some of the best tools for research, try Gale Resources. The district also provides Encyclopedia Britannica in both English and Spanish and World Book Encyclopedia. Need to learn a new language? Try out Pronunciator. Want to know more about Texas? Texquest for Students

Texquest is a state provided suite of outstanding digital resources for students of all ages. The suite includes Britannica (English and Spanish), Gale Learning Resources, and Learn 360, thousands of e-books, EBSCO Learning Express and Teaching Books.

To Access all Texquest resources click on the Access icon. See your librarian for user name and password.

Texshare - Community Library Members

As patrons of the Joe A Hall Community Library, you have access to the Library of Texas database, TEXSHARE, at school and at home. Click on the Access icon, put in your user name and password and click on Texshare. Here you'll find sources for health, business, history, genealogy, career, general student research, literature, and a brand new Do-It-Yourself reference center and more.

In the search box choose K-12 Schools and then type in the title of your movie.

If the movie pops up then we are in full compliance with the US Copyright Act. If the movie does not show up we are not able to show it.

You must still provide your own copy of the movie via VHS, DVD, or Streaming service.
